Just one day after Marc Jacobs’ West Village townhouse underwent a price cut, the property sold for $12 Million. The four-story house designed by Robert A.M. Stern was originally listed nearly a year ago for $16 million. Jacobs bought the raw space in 2009 for $10.495 million and hired architects and designers to make it his own.

The four bedroom, three bathroom house was featured on the cover of Architectural Digest in 2017, showcasing an air of old-school glamour that one might not expect from the free-spirited designer and appointed with none other than Jacobs’ bull terrier, Neville.

The television room features a Gerhard Richter painting and a Dopey sculpture by Paul McCarthy.

The garden was designed by Harrison Green.

The 4,796 square foot home boasts 1,400 square feet of outdoor space between the garden and the rooftop terrace.

Jacobs now lives in Westchester in a Frank Lloyd Wright home that he and his husband, Char Defrancesco, bought last year for $9.2 million.
