Dance Party: Solid Gold
Brooklyn Museum | 8-11pm at 200 Eastern Pkwy, Brooklyn
Celebrate the Brooklyn Museum’s new special exhibition Solid Gold with an evening of live music, performance, and dance inspired by the artwork. Gold has inspired countless works of art, fashion, film, music, and design. This exhibition traces the many odysseys of the metal that has influenced cultures and legacies worldwide. I’m most excited for the fashion world’s pieces with designs by Anna Sui, Christian Dior, Demna, Gianfranco Ferré, Giorgio di Sant’Angelo, Halston, Mary McFadden, The Blonds, Walter Van Beirendonck, and Yves Saint Laurent. With gold prices surging close to an all-time high, it feels like Brooklyn Museum might have had some insider knowledge when planning this show. Tickets are $30 for non-members.
