Located within the world’s tallest tower, a penthouse at the Burj Khalifa ranks among the highest homes on the planet—and it’s now listed for $51 million. According to Asad Khan, CEO of Invest Dubai Real Estate, the residence offers sweeping, uninterrupted views in every direction, from desert sunrises to the city skyline glowing at dusk, creating a true sanctuary above it all.
The duplex spans roughly 21,000 square feet across the 107th and 108th floors, with full 360-degree views of Dubai, the Arabian Gulf, and the surrounding desert. Positioned about 1,300 feet above ground—nearing the height of the Empire State Building—the home features floor-to-ceiling windows designed to maximize its dramatic vantage point. It’s currently being offered as a shell-and-core unit, allowing a future owner to fully customize the interiors.
As it stands, the residence includes a private elevator and an indoor pool, with flexibility for a buyer to design the space to their specifications. The only structural limitation is the addition of a larger pool due to weight constraints. Residents also enjoy access to the tower’s extensive amenities, including a lounge, fitness center, spa, infinity pool, and co-working spaces, along with 12 dedicated parking spots.
History of the Burj Khalifa Penthouse
The penthouse at the Burj Khalifa is currently owned by Karl Haddad, CEO of IRC Invest, who acquired the unit in 2020 from Mohamed Alabbar, the developer behind Emaar Properties. The home is now being offered for sale as the owner no longer plans to take on the extensive renovation required to complete the space.
Since hitting the market in September, the property has attracted significant interest—particularly from American buyers. According to listing agent Asad Khan, inquiries have come from high-level business figures, sports agents, and Hollywood professionals, with strong potential for a U.S.-based buyer to ultimately secure the residence.
Although the duplex remains unfinished, design renderings highlight its potential. The defining feature is its expansive, wall-to-wall windows, which frame uninterrupted views far above the city, creating the sensation of floating in a private retreat removed from the energy below.
Is it the most expensive home in Dubai?
While it is the priciest residence within the Burj Khalifa, it does not hold the citywide record. According to Engel & Völkers, Dubai’s highest residential sale was a penthouse at Como Residence, which traded for approximately $136 million. Another headline-making deal involved the so-called Marble Palace, which was listed at $204 million in 2023 and reportedly sold in early 2025 for just under $116 million.
How high does it sit?
Though this penthouse is the highest residential offering in the tower, around 50 floors rise above it. These upper levels house a mix of mechanical spaces, offices, and public attractions. Among them is At.mosphere on the 122nd floor—the highest restaurant in the world—as well as observation decks on the 124th and 125th floors.
Beyond Dubai, the title for the world’s highest residence belongs to a penthouse in Central Park Tower. Located on the 129th floor, the triplex soars roughly 1,416 feet above New York City, setting a global benchmark for elevated living.
